Our integrated creation model sets the pace for an ever-changing world. Debut is hiring an MBA Strategy Intern for Fall 2022. Reporting to the Strategy & Business Design Lead, this role will work closely with The Brand Lab to assess new brand opportunities by leading discovery and analysis that will determine the future of Debut’s brand portfolio. This unique role will have an opportunity to stay on with the Debut into Spring 2023 and beyond as we seek to build a dynamic workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the exploration of categories, brands and businesses to identify white space opportunities for our portfolio
  • Use discovery-driven planning and modeling to explore the business model possibilities behind design concepts and to shape and influence their design
  • Gather, synthesize, and create strategic frameworks inspired by rigorous research from a wide variety of sources: qualitative and quantitative research studies, generative and evaluative research
  • Translate complex models and new ideas into effective persuasive presentations to senior leadership, leveraging story-telling and future visioning

Preferred Experience and Capabilities

  • Currently pursuing an MBA or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience in consulting, new venture launches, or venture capital; CPG experience preferred
  • Exposure to end-to-end product development, go-to-market strategies, and commercialization processes, with an understanding of its impact to the business
  • Passion for crafting and building new consumer businesses, products, and services, responding to uncharted design challenges
  • Proven strategist and planner who is comfortable pushing the limits to deliver differentiated and large-value creation long-term business opportunities; preferred if direct experience in designing and launching new ventures
  • Excellence in complex business model development, market analysis scenario planning, financial modeling, and in-market experimentation/piloting
  • Ability to nurture and champion new ideas with strong storytelling, communication and presentation abilities
  • Strong leadership skills and superior communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships, embrace change and think outside the box
  • Ability to work independently and energized by working in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word applications
